Village claiming is meant to be more user friendly in the aspect that users do not have to know any commands to claim land. Land in Village can be claimed by a user himself, without the aid of an admin or moderator. To claim land simply obtain a chest, and place it on the ground. You will then see a border around your claimed land that is invisible to other players. This border can easily be expanded with a golden shovel, which can be bought at a player shop, admin shop, or obtained via mining. (You now can use /kit starter to receive one) Once you have a golden shovel all you need to do is have it in your hand, and right-click one of the corners of your claim (it will appear as glowstone). After you right click the corner, click the spot outside your claim which you would like to expand to. (Note this is not drag and drop; you click once then click again) You can also use a stick to view the borders of your claim or anyone else's that you happen to run across. Keep in mind that the borders are not REAL blocks; they only show you the borders of claims.
